A Home for Waihi – Behind the Scenes of a House Placement

There’s something special about seeing a home begin its journey—and this week, our latest build rolled out of the Leisurecom yard on its way to Waihi. The photos capture that moment perfectly: a fully-built three-bedroom home loaded up and ready to hit the road. It’s the start of something big—and a reminder of just how far a modular home can go, literally.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before a transportable home is ready to live in

Piles In, Ready for Concrete

Once the home was delivered to the section, our team got straight to work getting the piles in place. These piles are what form the structural foundation—ensuring the home stays secure and stable for years to come. Once installed, concrete is poured and left to harden, creating a solid base for the home to rest on.

Concrete In, Then We Wait

With the piles secured, concrete is poured around them to lock everything into place. It’s one of those quiet but important moments in the build—you don’t see much movement, but a lot is happening. The concrete needs to cure properly overnight to ensure strength and durability. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t make headlines, but makes a huge difference in the long run.

A Sneak Peek at the Process

We’ve captured a few photos of this early stage to give you a look at what really goes into setting up one of our homes.
