When it comes to transportable homes, every job has its challenges—but that’s where the fun starts. This week, we wanted to share a recent delivery to Whiritoa that shows just how flexible and solution-focused our approach can be.
This particular build was a spacious 134m² design, complete with three bedrooms and two bathrooms—perfect for a growing family or a coastal escape.
Not All Roads Are Straight
Getting this home to site was no small feat. The photos tell the story—navigating winding New Zealand back roads with a full-sized modular home in tow is a skill in itself. Our transport team knows these challenges well, carefully guiding the house around corners, under trees, and through tight spots to reach its destination in one piece.
A Steep Climb to Its Final Resting Place
Once onsite, things didn’t get any easier. The section was steep, and the final stretch required a careful tow up a sharp incline to position the home exactly where it needed to be. It took some serious planning, teamwork, and a bit of horsepower to get the job done right—but the end result was worth it.
This was a great example of how we work with the land, not against it, and why modular doesn’t mean ‘one-size-fits-all.’
A Transportable Home with Flexibility Built In
Our Whiritoa project is just one of many where creative problem-solving, great planning, and the right team came together to make something special happen.
Whether you’ve got a flat section or a steep, winding access point—if it’s possible, we’ll find a way.
